President’s Letter – December 2018

Season’s Greetings,

Well what do you know….the holidays are already here and pretty soon we’ll have snow. Everyone I talk to cannot believe how fast another year has passed us by.

This month the chamber will be busy hosting our Annual Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting ceremonies on 12/1 & 2 respectively. Check out the chamber website and Our Place Newspapers for details. In keeping with the festive holiday theme, the chamber will have our holiday lights up in town again thanks in part to our friends at the Holbrook Fire Department.

This year lets all please do our very best to shop, dine and utilize any service possible within the Holbrook community. For starters when shopping for that do it your self person stop in and visit the new big and beautiful Brinkmann’s True Value Hardware store. This new location for the Brinkmann Family is truly a wonderful addition to our downtown.

Remember Lombardi’s Market for those last minute catering and side dish needs. Also visit Karvers, Carlos Pizza Oven,Oven Lovin, Mamma’s and or Joe’s Pizza for those delicious trays of food to make any holiday party perfect. After a long day of shopping, why not visit Holbrook Diner for a quick bite. Stop by Holbrook Bagels for that Christmas morning breakfast and pick-up some of their delicious baked goods to go.

For the Holidays, don’t forget your pets…stop in at longtime chamber members Total Pet Care on Broadway Ave. Please visit Kierstens’ Jewelry for that unique one of a kind gift for that special someone. Why not book a trip with Spies Travel, that makes a great gift even for yourself.

So many great places right in Holbrook to make the holiday rush just a bit more easier on you.

In January, we will update everyone on the Holbrook Planning 2020 progress once its back to business.

In closing, a very Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to all of our Holbrook friends and neighbors and also a healthy and prosperous New Year to ALL!

All the Best Always,
Rick Ammirati
